Honestly, whenever Ariel was able to get back to the Ark safely after a particularly successful venture; it was an event she had a lot to look forward to. It... wasn't exactly always the safest profession, what with would-be thieves and pirates more than happy to rob those with belongings that even remotely seemed valuable, but it was the one she had dreamed of doing since she was a young lass... and it certainly was not unrewarding either! You could make a pretty penny being a trader and if you knew just what to buy or sell at the right price, you could make a bit of a comfy livelihood.
Amid the varying docked ships on the Ark; "The Planetarium" was set up by other store-type ships hosting a number of services in a gigantic holding dock... from restaurants to even cruise ships among the stars; there was a little for anyone if you looked hard enough. "The Planetarium" specialized in oddities and curios, and amid the interior of the ship was a shop that carefully displayed some of its wares... Manning the storefront was the gentle owner of the ship and store itself typing away at a holo-interface; Ariel calculating some of the purchases online that were going to need to be shipped out.
She had recently come back from a trip to Tri... such a hostile (and honestly terrifying) environment overall, but if there was one thing to gain from visiting such a place, it was that the locals did seem to have an interest in foreign culture at least. It made for an actually profitable venture all-things-considered, as trading was a generally more barter-style system there... which when translated back into Bits usually held a good profit overall! Damn if those Meicoomon didn't give her the creeps though... There was just something really off about them, even compared to other Digimon.

It was just another day on the Ark for Gill, he and Bunker were making their rounds about the place, nothing really on their minds or in their stomachs. Henceforth it was time to pilfer the trashcans for something a bit more than edible, and what better place to do this than the market dock after all? The first few places the pair had hit up only left them with two completely intact ancient game systems from the old days and some sort of golden jewelry adorned with quite the substantial gemstones... so nothing valuable in the slightest. Then Gill caught sight of a ship he had never seen before, one that was docked in a spot was that was normally empty and that meant there might be scraps in their trashcan.
"Stay close to me bud."
Gill spoke quietly to Bunker as he snuck his way over to the trashcan, keeping to the shadows when his shin hit something VERY hard. Without a moment's notice, he felt his weight shift and throw him into the metal can of waste. His face sliding in whatever grime was hidden at the bottom of this receptacle. Taking a moment to think about this, however, Gill suddenly realized what he tripped on.
"What the hell Bunker?! I didn't mean literally stay close to me. ITs a figure of speech. Just because you have all that armor on doesn't mean my words can't get through."
With a huff, Gill sat beside the now toppled trashcan, a light rumble in both his and Bunker's stomachs as they contemplated a jewelry store heist, but that may be just a tad too much effort for them to bother.

When it came to the Planetarium's pace regarding customers, typically the homely bazaar didn't get too much overall traffic directly... Most of its purchases were online, so it was usually just Ariel's job to get those goods packaged up and delivered in the Ark's postal system. It did leave her at least with plenty of idle time to herself, though she didn't really spend it on much... The closest thing to entertainment the woman had on usually was just some music and some old films salvaged from long ago playing in the background of her desktop. It wasn't much... but it was something to distract her from the doldrums of work.
Had she been a bit less... lucid, she might have not even noticed the LOUD banging outside. The young woman snapped awake as she flinched, her eyes widened with surprise as she for a moment struggled to grasp what she heard. How bizarre... It sounded like someone was banging the trash outside, but why?
Oh of course... it had to have been some hoodlum trash Digimon or something.. Like a Sukamon or Numemon! Gross... Why couldn't Digimon like them just go and eat shit elsewhere... literally. They had such awful dining habits, didn't they? Ariel sighed as she began to dig into some of the cabinets underneath her desk for some paper towels and disinfectant spray, meekly stepping out of her seat as she aimed to step outside; her arrival probably able to be heard easily from the shutter doors of the store sliding open.

Gill still sat there, unsure as to exactly what route he wished to take to well... get food and break his boredom. Glancing at the various stores and the like across the 'street' from the alleyway he now sat in, in the trash. While he thought he contemplated how Bunker could be useful in any of those situations and shaking his head with each and every one that would prove too difficult for him to do on his own then. However, he suddenly heard the sound of a metal moving, unsure as to what it was, he was entirely sure it was because of him after all.
"Bunker, shield mode!"
Gill grabbed the puppet Digimon, hoping it would defend him from oncoming damage, shielding his face and torso with its likely bulletproof metals. Bunker could only roll his eyes and let out an annoyed sigh as the human lifted him off his feet and left him dangling in mid-air, awaiting whatever outcome came from all of this.
"How many times do I have to tell you, I can't do that... I am made of them, but I am not one."
Bunker wanted to clarify this with the human for the sixteenth time... but it never quite seemed to stay in his memory, in one ear and out the other after all.
