Character Name: Ariel Aster
Character Age: 28
Character Gender: Female
Character Appearance:
Character Digivice Appearance:
Character Personality:
Ariel is a generally mellow, slow-paced individual who does not enjoy taking things quickly... She is not the type to rush into things if she can avoid it, actively hating conflict as a whole. If she could have the option to withdraw herself from all the worries of the world with her friends and family... she absolutely would do so. Because of her dislike for conflict, she comes across as meek and perhaps cowardly and will do whatever is in her power to avoid it. However, she can't be miscontrued as being weak-willed because of this. When she has her mind set out to do something, nothing will dissuade her.
One of her greatest qualities is her love for all life and being a generally empathetic person. While perhaps a bit reclusive, they enjoy the presence of people and actively cares for even strangers. She is usually a very thoughtful and understanding individual whom will listen to just about anyone who would give her the time to talk, but it also leads to her being very trusting of others... which can lead to problems.
While she is fascinated by Digimon, she carries a slight phobia of some due to an incident as a child; leaving her somewhat skittish around the more large, bestial-type ones.
Character History:
An inhabitant of the Ark like many others; Ariel was born to a mid-class family (a pair of technicians specifically, as those were never in low-demand); her life generally was an easy and typically average one for an inhabitant of the Ark. With an older sister and a Tapirmon that was her mother's partner to keep her company, Ariel's childhood was never without friends or family.
The very beginning of her life had been a fairly sheltered, but comfy life for a young girl; she having had plenty of toys to play with and good food to eat. With only an older sister by four years to compete with, for the most Ariel had the almost undivided love and attention of her parents. A bright mind with a sunny personality, she had no trouble befriending kids (human or Digimon) in school and was a very unproblematic child to both teachers and her parents. If you could count the number of times Ariel was sent to time-out or to the principal's office, you could probably count them with just two hands. While leading to her having a bit of goody-two-shoes reputation amongst students, there was no denying that she was a well-behaved young girl.
While Ariel used to be fairly-adjusted around Digimon, one incident, however, involving a family camping trip in the Artificial Forest Zone and a berserk Sethmon would prove to become a traumatic experience for the girl. Almost being skewered alive by the raging demon beast Digimon, she was only saved by her mother's Tapirmon who had Digivolved into a D'arcmon to delete the rampant Digimon. While unharmed, this experience left her with a phobia of larger, bestial Digimon that would carry on to even her adulthood.
When it came to what kind of future Ariel wanted to carve out for herself, the primarily dream-job Ariel sought to follow was that of a trader. Such a role requires heavy understanding of the economics of both the Ark, but also potential other societies living among the stars. This isn't without risk certainly, but it was also a chance to be able to venture beyond just the reaches of the Ark; which for someone who had lived there all her life... well, it was an exciting prospect.
To be a successful trader though is far more complicated than just knowing the best way to haggle, buy, and sell goods... It also was demanding cost-wise. For almost eight years, Ariel worked from job to job to both fund for tuition but also supplies to get her on the ground running. Most expensive of all though was actually acquiring a ship... Not an easy task for someone whom was trying to start a career. Still, after many long years at the age of twenty-four; Ariel managed to save up and buy her ship, "The Planetarium". With that one last hurdle, Ariel was finally able to truly begin her dream job.
Nowadays, Ariel runs a small business amid her ship; acting as both a shipper and store from which to trade valuables. While not exceptionally wealthy, she is able to afford helping her parents and sister out; she excitably waiting for becoming an aunt in the near-future.
Starter Digimon: Nephthys
Starter Digimon Age: Freshborn
Starter Digimon Gender: Female
Starter Digimon Race: Salamon (Meicoomon-breed)
Starter Digimon Personality:
Nephthys is a native to the planet of Tri, leading to her having fairly different ideals from Digimon that would have been raised say on the Ark. They are a highly-curious individual with little understanding of whom-or-what humans are... this curiosity leading to her attaching to the first human she had ever met extremely easily (specifically Ariel). She is a tad more wild than most, almost never sitting still; appropriately acting much like a playful kitten. She can be somewhat scatter-brained, not always being the sharpest tack in the box... but their enthusiasm for most anything is unparalleled. A highly-social creature, her talkative and loony nature can make her appear a bit... unusual to most.
One thing that is interesting to note is her almost-zealot belief in both Ordinemon, but also Tri as a whole. The way she views her mother is that of a goddess (a title that certainly isn't unearned) and has only the highest reverence for the angelic Digimon. Because of this, she can be extremely enthusiastic about preaching the beliefs of Tri's culture to others; though this is more out of an innocent belief in her family due to a lack of experience. She tends to easily attach to others, considering them part of her "extended family"... which does lead to Ariel being seen by her as a bit of a "half-mother".
While generally pretty sweet-natured, she does have her limits though... Just don't give her a reason to actually BE mad.
Starter Digimon History:
A young, newly-born native Tri-ite; Nephthys joined many of her brothers and sisters in the paradise their great mother had gave to them... Had it not been for they as a Nyaromon sneaking aboard "The Planetarium" during a stop by the planet, they perhaps would have never ventured away from their home.
Now that they have though, they've seemed to take on a shine towards Ariel... much to the trader's mild displeasure initially.
Ship Name: The Planetarium
Ship Appearance:
Ship Functionability:
The Planetarium is primarily a freighter-type ship, mainly for storing or transporting goods. While spacious, it lacks any forms of defenses to defend itself; though it does have an automated guiding system so that Ariel can dual-task.
Ship Lay-out:
The Planetarium primarily is storage space, connected to a holding dock that goods can be freely sold/stored while serving as a hub for visitors to browse the ship's selections. Deeper within the ship is set of small private quarters, leading to the ship's control room.
